Sidley Austin Adds Two to London Office

Sidley Austin has added two partners to its insurance practice in London, Martin Membery and Matthew Griffin. Both are formerly of UK-based Pinsent Masons.

Membery served as head of the insurance sector practice at Pinsent Masons. His practice focuses on a wide range of insurance and reinsurance work, with a particular emphasis on joint ventures, distribution arrangements and regulatory matters.

Griffith had been a partner at Pinsent Masons since 2004. He brings experience advising insurance sector clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, the firm said in a press release.

Sidley’s London office has approximately 120 lawyers. The international firm has approximately 1,700 lawyers worldwide practicing in 17 U.S. and international cities.
