Wilkinson Barker Knauer, a Washington D.C.-based communications and technology law firm, has scooped up the communications law group from Morrison & Foerster. Joining Wilkinson Barker as partners are Cheryl A. Tritt, Charles H. Kennedy and Jennifer L. Kostyu. Joining as of counsel are Frank W. Krogh and Phuong N. Pham.
Additionally, it was announced that William F. Maher will become a partner in the firm in April. Wilkinson Barker now has 47 attorneys in its communications and technology law practice, according to a press release.
Tritt and Maher are both former bureau chief’s at the Federal Communications Commission. Tritt served as chief of the common carrier bureau while Maher was chief of the wireline competition bureau.
Wilkinson is a boutique firm with a practice centered around communications and technology law. In February the firm added 6 new attorneys, including former Chaiman of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission Frank Gifford, and opened an office in Denver.
