Christopher W. Kirkham has been named a partner in the San Francico office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He joins the firm from O’Melveny & Myers, where he was formerly a corporate finance partner.
Kirkham, a specialist in debt finance, joins the firm’s mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance teams. Wilson Sonsini advised on approximately 150 M&A transactions and over 1,000 private financings last year, the firm said in a press release.
“We see substantial opportunities in this area…particularly as we meet increasing demand from our private equity clients,” said CEO Steve Bochner.
Wilson Sonsini was founded in Silicon Valley and has a presence in Austin, New York, Palo Alto, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Shanghai and Washington D.C.
