Class Action Lawsuit Reinstated Against Dell, Inc.

A class action lawsuit against Dell, Inc., filed originally in Oct 2006 by Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, and dismissed in 2008, was reinstated on February 5 by the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit.

The lawsuit alleges misconduct in connection with the design, manufacture, warranting, advertising and selling of Dell Inspiron 1100, 1150, 5100 and 5160 notebooks.

Specifically, plaintiffs allege defects with the notebooks’ cooling systems, premature power supply system failure, and motherboard failure.
