Thor Hearne is joining Arent Fox’s Washington D.C. office. A former national election counsel to President George W. Bush , Hearne will continue his federal litigation practice and advise clients on election, political and campaign finance law.
Prior to joining Arent Fox, Hearne was partner in charge of Lathrop & Gage. Hearne is a nationally recognized authority in election law and contested elections. He has also won a number of Fifth Amendment “takings” cases that have established national precedents, according to a firm press release.
Hearne has also served as an advisor on the bipartisan Commission on Federal Election Reform and testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
Arent Fox has over 300 attorneys with offices in Washington D.C., New York and Los Angeles.
