Justice Ginsburg in and out of the Hospital Again

Faces, Home, Justice

Justice Ginsburg was hospitalized overnight after an adverse reaction to a combination of cold medication and a sleeping aid. Ginsburg took the medications prior to boarding a plane for London. She and several other justices were heading to London to help celebrate the opening of the new United Kingdom Supreme Court, which has recently been created as a separate institution from the House of Lords.

After taking the medications, Justice Ginsburg became drowsy to the point of falling out of her seat. The plane had not yet departed and paramedics took her to Washington Hospital Center where she was kept overnight for observation. She was released this morning.
