Belmont University in Nashville, TN, is opening a new law school with classes set to begin in fall of 2011. Belmont will be the first new law school in central Tennessee to open in over 100 years. The first class will be a little under 300 students, and tuition is expected to be between $25k and $35k per year. On of the many reasons given by Belmont for moving ahead with a new law school wast that Tennessee doesn’t have enough lawyers. Apparently 8.2 lawyers per 10,000 residents is just not enough these days…
