At 7:45 PM EDT Justice Ginsburg was taken to Washington Hospital Center. According to a statement from the Court, the hospitalization was only a precaution taken after Ginsburg became ill from a treatment for iron deficiency.
Justice Ginsburg is 79 years old and underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in February of this year.

It is very unfortunate that Justice Ginsburg had to be hospitalized for a precautionary treatment and medical care. It is good that timely action has been taken. Though the Justice is only suffering from iron deficiency, medical care is being given on a precautionary measures as She has undergone a surgery for pancreatic cancer.
