Appleby Brings on New Hires

Bermuda’s Appleby has brought on new hires for its Funds & Investment Services division.

Tanya Kozak joins in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands from Toronto, Canada’s Borden Ladner Gervais. She advises clients on the establishment of investment funds, exempted limited partnerships and corporate governance. She obtained her LL.B from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, in 2000.

Appleby, previously Appleby Spurling Hunter, is an offshore legal, fiduciary and administration service provider, created by the merger of Bermuda’s Appleby Spurling Kemp and the Cayman Islands’ Hunter & Hunter in 2004, and a subsequent merger with Jersey, UK’s Bailhache Labesse in 2006.

It has offices in the key offshore locations of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Jersey, Mauritius and the Seychelles, as well as London, Hong Kong and Zurich. It plans to open an office in Dubai.

Why do so many people have money in off-shore accounts that they need more people to do the “dirty work”? I mean, I’m glad that these people have jobs but still – it all seems very fishy still. They walk the line of the law and that annoys me – but at least they are hiring experienced people!

This is wonderful news for those of us interested in foreign market investments. Appleby has a wide range of markets available worldwide, leaving many people with the oppurtunity to enter into this scope of work, I also had a buddy who worked there in Jersey and was able to keep his posistion when he moved out to the British Isles. This business is flexible and and worthy investment. Jean Doe, funkymonkey_j@hotmail.com
