London-based law firm LG, formerly Lawrence Graham LLP, will hire just nine members of its incoming trainee class of 21. One of the departures was voluntary.
In April, the firm cut laid off 15 lawyers and 18 staff.
LG is a mid-sized corporate law firm with branch offices in Monaco, Dubai, Moscow and India.

Don’t quite understand why you would let go 15 lawyers one month to hire 9 trainees the next month. I understand “out with the old in with the new” and some jobs could benefit from younger employees. If I ever needed a lawyer however I would definetly hire a more experienced one.
