Akin Gump Brings On Litigation Partners

Akin GumpAkin Gump has announced the hiring of partners Nicholas Porritt and William White for its litigation practice in Washington DC.

Porritt comes to Akin Gump from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He handles SEC and commercial litigation matters.

White spent the last 10 years at WilmerHale. Before that, he was with the Enforcement Division of the SEC.

In March, Akin Gump laid off 47 associates and 57 paralegals & staff.

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP was founded in Dallas in 1945 by Robert Strauss and Richard Gump. The firm now numbers more than 900 attorneys and advisors in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
