Robinson & Cole Opens New Office, Hires Lawyers

Robinson & ColeHartford, Connecticut’s Robinson & Cole, which in March laid off 11 lawyers and 19 staff, has announced it is opening an office in Providence, Rhode Island.

The firm hired Patricia J. Igoe and Peter V. Lacouture to run the new office. Both were with Nixon Peabody LLP for more than a decade.

Igoe has practiced in the Ocean State for 30 years, and was with Nixon Peabody for 12 years. Lacouture has practiced in Rhode Island for 37 years and was at Nixon Peabody for 14 years.

The Providence office will employ an additional three lawyers, and is expected to expand in the future.

Robinson & Cole LLP is a 164-year-old law firm with offices in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Florida and Rhode Island.
