Sughrue Mion Fires Incoming Associates, Cancels Summer Program

SughrueWashington DC-based intellectual property firm Sughrue Mion has fired a third of its incoming first year class, and canceled its 2009 summer associate program.

The incoming first years received a $5,000 severance payment.

Sughrue is one of the largest full service intellectual property practices in the United States, with offices in Washington, DC; Menlo Park, California; and Tokyo. The firm has a nanotechnology practice — maybe they plan to sue the gray goo.
