Greenberg Traurig Names 2009 Public Interest Fellows

Greenberg Traurig, in alliance with Equal Justice Works, has named its 2009 Fellows, ten individuals to receive funding though the Greenberg Traurig Fellowship Foundation to provide legal services pro bono to community programs.

The public interest law fellowships begin in September and run for two years. The combined classes of 2008 and 2009 will consist of 21 fellows.

Since the Foundation was founded in 1998, Greenberg Traurig has sponsored more than 85 fellows who have worked on innovative public interest projects in many of the communities in which the firm’s attorneys practice. The fellowships offers salary and loan repayment assistance, a national training and leadership development program, and other forms of support.

Greenberg Traurig employs more than 1,800 attorneys and governmental affairs professionals in the US, Europe and Asia. The firm was selected as the 2007 USA Law Firm of the Year by Chambers and Partners.
