Simmons & Simmons May Lay Off Up to 69 Employees

Simmons & Simmons has announced a review that could lead to layoffs of up to 20 associates and 49 support staffers.

Last year, the firm laid off eight associates and 21 support staffers.

Managing partner Mark Dawkins says the firm has no plans to cut partners.

More than 3,000 lawyers have been laid off by UK law firms since the beginning of the financial crisis.
